‘Flight of Poetry’ (‘Envolée Poétique’), Revelations Exhibition – Grand Palais – Paris

For the Revelations exhibition at the Grand Palais, William Amor unveiled his creation, ‘Flight of Poetry’, within a space dedicated to the Ateliers de Paris.

This work is a suspended sculpture created using discarded plastic bags, food packaging and fishing nets and ropes that have undergone a process of transformation.

This creation reveals the unique techniques conceived by William Amor to utilise unrecycled waste materials.

Plastic bags are folded and dyed to become airborne floral decorations, while PET packaging is tinted and sculpted to become crystalline-finished creations that look almost like glass.

William Amor’s unique artistic vision sprang from a desire to create art that has an element of poetry, celebrates nature and helps protect the environment. Through his unique creations, which are full of meaning and evoke an emotional response, the artist offers a different perspective on the world surrounding us, including items whose presence, existence and origin we may have forgotten or disregarded.
