Demna bids farewell to Balenciaga<\/h2>

On this Wednesday, July 9, 2025, emotions are running high at Balenciaga<\/strong>. At noon, Demna<\/strong>, artistic director since 2015, presents his last haute couture show<\/strong> for the house. Tomorrow, his successor, Pierpaolo Piccioli <\/strong>, takes over the reins of the studio, while the Georgian designer makes his debut at Gucci<\/strong>. <\/p>

Rarely has a fashion house so celebrated the work of a departing artistic director. Balenciaga haute couture accessories<\/h3>

Finally, a rarity in haute couture, the looks are accompanied by numerous accessories. Among them are two fans<\/strong> recreated from the Duvelleroy<\/strong> archives – the most eccentric of couture accessories. Flower-shaped brooches are made by Maison Lemari\u00e9 et William Amor <\/strong>using tissue paper. But that’s not all: to complete the circle, the designer who elevated streetwear imagined the first Balenciaga Couture sneaker<\/strong>. Although this model is standard, it is handcrafted using traditional shoemaking techniques<\/strong>. Finally, briefcases are revisited as sparkling jewelry boxes. <\/p>
